With over 35 years of specialized experience in commercial real estate loan production, Stewart “Stu” Aikawa has built a distinguished career helping clients successfully secure complex financing solutions across the United States.
Stu began his career in real estate banking after earning a degree in Biology from UC Davis. Returning to the Bay Area, he held key positions at prominent financial institutions, including Tokai Bank, Sumitomo Bank (now Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation), Bank of the West, and Mechanics Bank. Early in his career, he identified his true passion: originating and structuring commercial real estate loans.
Known for his deep understanding of credit processes, Stu excels at identifying client needs, crafting well-structured financing requests, and skillfully negotiating with credit administrators and committees. His extensive experience allows him to anticipate lender perspectives and position transactions for optimal outcomes.
At Bridwell Sargent, Stu serves as a trusted advisor to clients nationwide. His primary focus is the placement and closing of commercial real estate debt, equity, mezzanine, and private financing. Born in Hollywood, California, and raised in Santa Cruz, Peter brings a deep-rooted understanding of the industry from his family background. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance from Colorado State University, providing a strong academic foundation for his career in structuring sophisticated financing solutions.
In his current role at Bridwell Sargent, Peter manages the firm’s sales and marketing platform, leads lender and investor research, and oversees day-to-day business operations. His strategic leadership has been instrumental in positioning Bridwell Sargent as a trusted advisor in commercial real estate financing across the United States. Peter excels at identifying optimal capital sources, negotiating favorable terms, and executing time-sensitive transactions that deliver results for clients ranging from real estate investors and developers to operators of specialized properties.
